North Gate Arena - September 2009

In a joint venture with West Cheshire College, Mid-Cheshire College, held an event at North Gate Arena aimed at demonstrating 'inclusion' in sport.

Students with learning or physical disabilities got involved in activities such as 'cone flipping', 'sitting volley ball' and 'Boccia', a target game. the students also played basketball and hand-ball.

First Year Sports Coaching and Physical Education Foundation Degree students from Mid-Cheshire also took part , teaching them how to interact with disabled performers and to recognise, skills they need to develope for the coaching and professional sector.

Mid-Cheshire College hopes to hold similar events in the future which will enable all students to develope their sporting and coaching skills. If you would like further information on such events please email Malcolm Tudor at mtudor@midchesh.ac.uk
