Mid Cheshire College recorded a much needed win yesterday, beating Southport College 2-1.
Goals from Kostas Alexopolous and Josh Mainwaring meant that Mid Cheshire College came from behind to take all 3 points.
Despite a nervous start, Mid Cheshire created enough chances to have won the game more comfortably. Matty Clarke, Chris Holbrooks and Danny Eastwood all got close, but it was Arron Morrison who denied the visitors an unlikely point, making a superb last-minute save.
Mid Cheshire College’s next game is away at Walford & Shropshire College, February 2nd, k.o 1pm.
Mid Cheshire College Reserves were well beaten by a strong Myerscough team yesterday, Ryan Jackson scoring the only goal in 4-1 defeat.
