Employability Statement
Mid Cheshire College has a tradition of providing quality education to all sections of the community. Our Higher Education courses are no exception and support our reputation for excellence in a friendly and supportive environment. These vocational qualifications integrate academic and work-based learning; therefore you can study while at work, as most programmes are 1 or 2 days per week.
Foundation degrees have been particularly successful in providing a practical alternative to more traditional academic programmes. Combining work-based learning with academic study, Foundation degrees offer employers the opportunity to enhance staff training and development with minimal disruption to the business operation with many courses providing flexible teaching arrangements such as part-time, evening or block release attendance at college or university, distance learning or via the internet.
In addition, employer-led programmes can be delivered in ‘chunks' or ‘credits' that are part of a Foundation Degree (240 credits). For instance, you may choose to opt for a HE Professional Certificate (60 credits). We could be keen to meet your needs and could develop a programme relevant top your individual needs from 20 Credits through to 240 credits, with programmes validated by the University of Chester.
Our current Higher Education provision is within the following areas:
- Business & Management
- Commercial Music Technology
- Contemporary Photography
- Engineering (Mechanical & Electrical)
- Fashion Design
- Graphic Design
