Media
Mid Cheshire College offers the students the qualifications and facilities that the industry recognises and uses.
You will access our excellent range of the latest state-of-the-art equipment and facilities within Media Production in the brand new £7.5million Centre for Creative Arts and Sports which includes an Apple Mac iMac video editing suite with Adobe Final Cut Pro and a viewing room.
Many students progress on to higher education to study degrees at universities such as Manchester and Salford, as well as achieving professional contracts.
There are many opportunities to practice your skills and knowledge through ‘real life' projects. For example, media students successfully planned and produced a promotional DVD to be used at College events to publicise courses to potential new students. Careers in Media include: TV/Film Editor, Director, Producer or Researcher, Script Writer, Animator Documentary Filmaker. Video Compositor (special effects). Digital Arts Pathways – Web Design, Flash Animator, Interactive Designer, 3D modelling, 3D environment designer, Interface designer, Video compositor (special effects), 2D Animator, Graphic Design.
