Construction - Building Trades

The College's construction programmes can lead to a variety of careers, in trades such as brickwork, carpentry and joinery, plumbing and electrical installation. A successful career in any of the building trades could lead to you earning a high salary, or even owning your own company, and there are opportunities for both men and women.

The purpose-built workshops and classrooms enable students to develop the skills and knowledge required to build a career in these areas.

Careers in Construction include: Apprenticeships in plumbing, carpentry and joinery and brickwork. Within civil engineering you could pursue careers such as a land surveyor, quantity surveyor, CAD technician or construction site management.
