Computing and IT

The College offers a range of courses and qualifications in Computing and ICT up to Foundation Degree level, with students able to choose between Software Development and IT System Support routes. The dedicated IT suites include a specialist PC/network lab where students can gain hands-on experience of setting up and repairing computer systems and networks.  The computer rooms are fully equipped with multimedia/programming software and access to the Internet. Fully programmable buggies and control systems are used to stimulate learning in the areas of programming, communications and fault diagnosis.

The qualifications offered include a variety of Computing and ICT disciplines including software design; website creation and management; systems analysis; hardware installation; system security; networking and IT user skills. Students will learn how to develop the skills needed to work in the IT industry.

Careers in IT include: Web designer, programmer, network or database administrator.
