John Riley John Reilly

Principal

John became the Principal of Mid-Cheshire College in September 2002. Previously, he had been the Director of Development at Tameside College in East Manchester and had also worked, as a lecturer and manager, at colleges in Derbyshire, Birmingham and Leicestershire. Away from the College he is a member of the Cheshire & Warrington Connexions Board and is also a Trustee with the Lion Salt Works Trust.

Simon Andrews Simon Andrews

Vice-Principal: Academic Standards

Simon joined Mid-Cheshire College in September 2003 as Divisional Manager for Art & Design and was promoted to Vice-Principal in March 2006. Prior to this, he worked at Kingston College in Surrey leading the Media & Performing Arts curriculum area. He has a first degree in Politics and a Masters degree in Media Education, added to this he has a PGCE (FE) and a Diploma in Management. He is very excited about the future of the College and is looking forward to a challenging and successful time ahead.

Wanda Ford Wanda Ford

Vice-Principal: Business Management

Wanda joined Mid Cheshire College in 2001 having spent the previous six years working in higher education as a Head of Finance. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has a social life that revolves around her children!

Elaine Andrews
Student Recruitment Manager

Elaine has been at Mid-Cheshire College in a variety of Student Recruitment roles since April 2000. These have included both Admissions and Marketing. She completed her Diploma in Management Studies in June and was appointed Student Recruitment Manager in September 2008.

Sheila Atherton

Sheila Atherton
College Accountant

Sheila joined the College in September 2002 after previously working as the Finance Manager at South Trafford College. She is ACMA qualified with over 13 years post-qualification experience. This has been gained from a number of roles within the finance function in both the public and private sectors.

Richard Hollywood

Richard Hollywood
Assistant Principal: Art, Design & Performance Studies

Richard joined Mid-Cheshire in September 2006 from City College Manchester where he had been Head of Arts for six years. He spent the early part of his career as a Sound Engineer at one of London's top recording studios, working with a number of high profile artists before pursuing a freelance career.
In 1994 he moved to Cheshire and joined City College Manchester as a Lecturer in Sound Recording. He was promoted to Head of Arts and gained a Post Graduate Diploma in FE Management in 2003.
He enjoys keeping fit through jogging, football and swimming and has lived with his wife and three children in the Northwich area since 1997.

Susan Treacy

Susan Treacy
Assistant Principal: Business, Computing & Technology

Susan joined the College in September 2007 from Runshaw College, Leyland where she worked as Head of Professional Development for five years. Previously, she had worked at West Cheshire College, which she joined in January 1994 as a part-time lecturer in Hospitality Management, before being promoted to Sector Head for Business & Information Technology.
Her early career was spent in Hotel Management having achieved a degree in Hotel & Catering Administration. Her most recent qualification a Post Graduate Certificate in Management (Education) as part of the CEL Leadership Development programme.
Having been brought up in the area she returned in 1993 to live locally with her husband and two children.

Kevin Gallimore

Kevin Gallimore
Human Resources & IT Manager

Kevin joined the College in 1993 having previously worked for British Aerospace. He has worked in the HR profession for over 25 years and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. At Mid-Cheshire College he is responsible for the overall management of both Human Resources & IT systems. Away from work he travels extensively and skis regularly.

Gwynth Hart

Gwynyth Hart
Management Information Systems & Examinations Manager

Gwynyth has been the College MIS manager since February 2002, with responsibility for MIS and Examinations. Before moving into MIS work she worked in the curriculum side of FE, starting as a mathematics lecturer and then working as a Head of Faculty for seven years.
She has a degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, enjoys country walking and owns up to enjoying maths puzzles and crosswords.

David James

David James
Student Services Manager

David has been at Mid-Cheshire College in a variety of roles since 1988, which have included managing Hospitality courses, overseeing the College Catering Operation and managing the Quality Unit. He was appointed to his current position in September 2003

Kath Oldham

Kath Oldham
Assistant Principal: Professional & Caring Studies

Kath joined Mid-Cheshire College in 1993 as a Lecturer in Tourism & Business Studies. Since then, she has managed a range of curriculum areas including Travel & Tourism, Modern Foreign Languages and ESOL. Kath was appointed to her current role in August 2006.She has a degree in Geography and has recently completed a Diploma in Management.

Carole Timperley

Carole Timperley
Head of Employer Services

Carole joined Mid-Cheshire College in May 2008 to head up the Employer Services unit and lead on all aspects of work-based learning and employer engagement. Prior to joining the College, Carole worked in the private sector for large national work-based learning providers after a period with the Learning & Skills Council, therefore bringing several years experience of Apprenticeships and Train to Gain programmes.
Carole has a business degree and lives locally with her family and enjoys travelling.

Ian Woodward
Operational Services Manager

Ian commenced work at the College in 1992 as a Head of Department. He has a civil engineering background and is a Member of the British Institute of Facilities Management. He started life in the education sector as a Lecturer at South Cheshire College in 1983 after he had left the army. In his current role as Operational Services Manager, Ian manages a team to support the teaching and learning environment and the continuing changes that brings demands on the College's accommodation. He is a very keen sports person and enjoys walking and travelling.
