Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships can make your organisation more effective, competent, productive and competitive by addressing your skills gaps. Government-funded Apprenticeships are available to both new and current, employees aged over 16.
An Apprentice's training is on-the-job at your premises. The rest is provided by Mid Cheshire College typically on a one day per week basis to study for a Technical Certificate which will provide technical knowledge and skills required. An assessor from Mid Cheshire College will visit your apprentice on a regular basis to gather evidence for their QCF portfolio. In addition, apprentices will also study some Key Skills relevant to job knowledge in subjects such as Communication, Application of Number and IT.
The benefits
Apprenticeships can help businesses across all sectors by offering a route to harness fresh new talent. Apprenticeships can improve an organisation's productivity and profitability, and are an effective means of filling skills gaps in current and future workforces. There are many business benefits, from low training costs to increased staff retention.
